As our name implies, we are a daughter organization of CPSP (College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy). Here are a couple of bits of news of CPSP.
#1. CPSP will be holding its annual plenary March 17-21, 2024. It will be held in Atlanta, GA, and representatives of CPSP-PH will be there, and have been asked to give a report at the event.
#2. CPSP has recently joined in a collaborative initiative between itself and Health Care Chaplaincy Network/Spiritual Care Association (HCCN/SCA). They are exploring ways to collaborate for the good of clinical pastoral training and clinical chaplaincy. (In recent months, we have been in conversation with AACPE, the first CPE/T organization in the Philippines. We also hope to find ways to collaborate in a similar manner in the Philippines.)
#3. CPSP now has a couple of improved ways to communicate with its members and others. One is their updated website (https://cpsp.life/). Bob and Celia Munson were invited to join the CPSP Chapter Life Committee meeting on April 11, and will also be joining the next meeting on the 18th.
They joined to learn more about what is needed to have successful chapters. We are greatly appreciative of those who are available in mentoring us.
