CPSP-Philippines holds to a set of standards generally consistent with CPSP (College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy). Modest differences exist based on unique aspects of the Philippine Context. The following certifications are recognized and given by CPSP-Philippines based on meeting the standards of our organization and being a member of CPSP-Philippines. The following is the list of certifications based on the minimum number of CPE units successfully completed. There are other requirements, including board evaluation for these certifications as well. Please see the standards of CPSP-Philipines for further details.
1 Unit CPE—- CTM (Clinically Trained Minister)
2 Units CPE— ABCCC (Associate Board Certified Clinical Chaplain)
ABCPC (Associate Board Certified Pastoral Counselor)
4 Units CPE— BCCC (Board Certifed Clinical Chaplain)
BCPC (Board Certified Pastoral Counselor)
5 Units Supervisor-in-Training— DPS (Diplomate in Pastoral Supervision)
Other certifications
Fellowships: These are specialization fields (such as Disaster Response or Palliative Care) that are available for those who already have achieved BCCC/BCPC certifications. This involves an extra unit of specialized supervision.
DPP (Diplomate in Pastoral Psychotherapy). This is a program that is under development. This is only available for those who are already recognized as psychotherapists under the Philippine Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC).
